Meet Elona

A love of animals has always inspired my drawings or paintings. The first thing I remember was an elephant that entered a competition when I was seven. I didn’t win but I was very proud! As I grew older my drawings developed, creating a place where I could relax and forget everything around me.
A door opened for me and I grabbed the opportunity with all my hands to help share this love of mine with other children – like the teacher who helped me when I was 7.
Most of my family members are teachers and if you had asked me years ago, I never would have included myself. I was very interested in becoming a veterinary nurse and for a long time I enjoyed it. However, I am more confident in myself now and drawing has helped with this. I can express myself in my own unique way and I look forward to seeing everyone who comes to my classes do the same.
As I write this I am looking out the window and admiring some beautiful roses: some are expressive, pointing to the sky, and others are fading and falling to the ground. My life has had many ups and downs, but at the moment, I’m looking to the sky excited about starting and growing these art classes! I want as many people as possible to become as enthused as I am and enjoy these experiences.
