Meet Laura
Cygnets Art School Folkestone is run by Laura, a qualified teacher and hobbyist artist. Art has been a key part of Laura’s life since childhood, with this passion leading her to become the Art subject lead, Art curriculum designer and head of the Art Council during her years working as a class teacher in a primary school.
This experience inspired her to become a teacher focused solely on art tuition, helping children and young people develop their confidence and artistic skills through sessions tailored to teach a range of techniques through a variety of mediums. Laura loves sharing her passion for art by helping all children find who they are as young artists, aiming to inspire them to reach their highest potential and continue being artistic throughout their lives.
Laura’s mission at Cygnets Art School Folkestone is to take children on a creative journey, whether this be through term time classes, after school clubs or holiday workshops, with teaching tailored to even the youngest beginners.
