Cygnets Art School in Bearsden & Milngavie, Glasgow is led by illustrator and designer Laura Park, whose passion for fine art education and children’s creativity lies at the heart of everything she does.​

Laura trained in Printed Textile Design at The Glasgow School of Art, graduating with a First Class Honours Degree and a Master’s. Since 2010, she has built a successful illustration business, creating cards, prints, and papergoods that are stocked in renowned stores across the globe, including the V&A, Liberty of London, and The National Gallery.

A lifelong creative, Laura previously owned a thriving store and gallery space that offered workshops to her local community. It was through these sessions—and her experience raising three imaginative boys—that she discovered her true calling: nurturing the artistic potential of children.

Laura brings an abundance of passion, care, and professional experience to Cygnets. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in providing high-quality art education through a holistic approach—encouraging confidence, independence, and creative expression. She ensures children have access to the best materials and guidance, helping each student develop their unique artistic voice in a supportive, inspiring environment.
