Art is not a luxury; it’s an essential part of learning and growing.

Headteacher | Cygnets Art School North Bradford
Meet Shahina
Cygnets North Bradford is Shahina’s dream. She brings over 20 years of experience in the creative world and is passionate about sharing her love of art with children. In addition to her work in the arts, she has also spent time working in education, collaborating closely with schools and local organisations to support creative learning and community engagement.
Shahina’s artistic journey began in childhood and took a formal turn when she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Surface Pattern Design from Staffordshire University, specialising in textiles. Her creativity is deeply influenced by nature, particularly the serene beauty she observes during walks in Lister Park. She is also an avid yoga student and teacher.
Shahina works with children of all ages and abilities, including those with special educational needs. Over the years, she has developed a natural and engaging teaching style that resonates with children, helping them build confidence, curiosity, and imagination. Whether through an after-school club, holiday workshop, or a structured day of outdoor nature-based learning, her sessions provide a safe space for creative expression and an opportunity to develop important life skills such as focus, resilience, and self-expression. For Shahina, teaching is more than just a profession, it’s a labour of love.
At Cygnets, art is not just a luxury; it’s an essential part of learning and growing.
If you would like your child to explore their creativity, build confidence, and take pride in their creative journey, we warmly invite you to visit us at Cygnets North Bradford. Together, let’s unlock your child’s creative potential, one brushstroke at a time.
